Sunday Morning Worship

cong8x10Cleveland Park Congregational Church is a worshiping community. We invite you to share in our Morning Worship service at 10:30 and to stay for the coffee hour that follows.

A community diverse in generations, race and ethnicity, educational background, sexual orientation and family type, we gather every Sunday to pray, sing, study scripture, and hear the Gospel.  Once a month we share Communion, and Baptisms and other life cycle events are celebrated on a regular basis.

Our sermons, delivered by our Pastor, ordained and lay members, and guest preachers, are Biblically based and address real questions, issues and concerns of importance to everyone. See our home page for the Sermon schedule.

Our Choir sings a variety of music and is always eager to welcome new members, whatever your level of experience.

Lay Members, including children, play an active part in worship.

ChildrenChildren are an important part of our community and are welcome to participate in a portion of the worship service each Sunday. If parents prefer, childcare is available from 10 am to noon.

Our Worship Bulletin Covers are created by one of our congregation members and reflect the life of our church community.

Our 10:30 Morning Worship is the foundation around which many of our church programs are built: Adult Bible Study, Sunday School, Confirmation and Choir. Join us for all or part of a Sunday morning.

Our services, which begin at 10:30 a.m. last for about an hour and are followed by a Coffee Hour which we consider “the finest Coffee Hour in Christendom.”

Coffee Hour

Our Coffee Hour features a variety of treats prepared by our members, along with coffee, tea, juice and occasionally even espresso. As an extension of our worship, Coffee Hour conversation enthusiastically embraces all topics – the sermon, your latest book, current events, you-name-it. From time to time, at the end of Coffee Hour we gather for SHARING to hear a presentation by one of our members or friends about a work, volunteer or personal activity that matters to them …
