Cleveland park Congregational
United Church of Christ

Everyone is welcome to join with the congregation of Cleveland Park Congregational United Church of Christ in morning worship each Sunday at 10:30 AM or at VESPERS at 7:00 P.M.

We are an Open and Affirming church.  We are inviting and inclusive faith community.

Our Morning Worship service opens with a prelude at 10:25 a.m.
and is followed by a coffee hour.

Our VESPERS service is preceded by coffee and cookies at 6:30 p.m. and begins promptly at 7 p.m.

Communion, which is open to all believers, is served on the first Sunday of the month at our Morning Worship service and every Sunday evening at VESPERS.

Sermons are by our Pastors Ken Fuller and Laura Jean Torgerson   In the summer months and occasionally throughout the year, guest pastors (including three ordained members of the congregation) will also deliver sermons.
Vespers Service, a contemplative service held each Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m - begins with coffee and fellowship at 6:30 p.m. Come as you are to our community where you are welcomed wherever you are on life’s journey.   This is a casual, multi-generational worship service, which practices open communion for everyone every week.  Child care is available.

Sunday School for grades K-6 and Adult Bible Study meet weekly at 9:30 AM.  Pre-K children attend the first 15 minutes of worship and leave for their Sunday School class after the children’s sermon.

Our Men’s Bible Study Group meets on the First and Third Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 a.m. in the Church Parlor.  All men are welcome to this informal group of prayer, sharing and Bible study.

Common Ground, our young adult fellowship, has this upcoming event:

To get us out of church (it's spring after all!) and to take advantage of some of the local "must do's" - let's go to the Udvar Hazy Museum!  Saturday, April 25th is the day!

Lindsey's Uncle Lee is a docent there and has graciously agreed to share all of his knowledge and expertise with us, so it should be quite a treat.  The tour starts at 11am and should last about 2 hours, so let's meet at the church at about 10am to carpool.  Admission to the museum is free, but parking is $12 per car - the more people we have in a car, the less money each person has to chip in !

My plan is to do events like this every other month or so, and they (including this one) are IN ADDITION to the monthly dinners, so come as you are and join us!

No matter who you are,
no matter where you are
 on life's journey,
 you are welcome here.
