VESPERS NEEDS YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT

As we enter the summer months and our schedules change and are more fluid, I ask that members of the church give prayerful consideration to supporting Vespers by our attendance.
If we return to DC too late to attend Morning Worship, If you have visitors and decided to have a Sunday Brunch.  If you would just like to sleep late on Sunday Morning, then consider coming to Vespers.  Or just come because you have never done so.

It is a service meant to give all our members an alternative to our Morning Worship when they can't make that service, and to give us all an alternative, more contemplative style of worship. Vespers will give you an opportunity to share in the Lord's Supper whenever you attend since we always celebrate communion at the 7 p.m. service.

Vespers is also meant to appeal to college and university students, undergrad and graduate, interns and those in DC for a semester.  It is important that during the summer, when the regular Vespers attendees are sometimes away that a welcoming community be present.   Come and be that welcoming presence to those who come to our congregation for the first time at Vespers, just as we are a welcoming community at Morning Worship.  Just a few more people attending Vespers each week will help us attain the critical numbers that will encourage first time attendees to return.

Vespers is an essential part of our plans for church growth, and it will take time for it to bear even greater fruit.  In the meantime it needs your stewardship too.
Vespers needs your support!
